While we adore our furry friends, we prioritize their safety and the preservation of our luxurious boat. Therefore, we kindly request that pets remain ashore for this adventure.
We are thrilled to offer you the opportunity to set sail 365 days a year, from the early morning at 9 am until the starlit hours of 11 pm. Your hot tub cruise is ready when you are!
The helm is open to anyone aged 18 or above, holding a valid driver’s license. No specific boater’s license is required in the state of California. Check out our captained cruises for an even more luxurious experience.
The boat is available for rent for periods of 2 and up to 3 hours, depending on availability. Choose the duration that best suits your adventure!
Our boats are designed to accommodate up to 8 or 12 guests for a delightful experience. The hot tubs have maximum capacities of 6 to 8 people, ensuring a cozy and intimate setting. Additionally, there is ample space and storage for everyone to bring towels, bags, coolers, and more. Your comfort is our priority! (Capacities based on which size vessel you are on.)
Not at all! Our boat is designed for ease, cruising at wakeless speeds. Our dedicated Hot Tub Cruisin staff will provide a comprehensive orientation on operating the craft, general boating rules, and safety regulations. Your smooth sailing is our priority.
During your cruise, you have the freedom to navigate anywhere in the picturesque Mission Bay without crossing under the West Mission Bay Drive Bridge or Ingraham Street Bridges. Drive to the middle of Sail Bay and enjoy the tranquility of being in the water, on the water. Please note, for the safety of all, the boat should never be “beached” or taken within 100 yards of the shore.
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring along your favorite snacks and beverages (including alcohol, please NO GLASS, consumed responsibly). Please refer to our rules and regulations for safety concerns related to using a hot tub in combination with alcohol consumption. Our boat features a large cooler on board and a small cooler in the hot tub for your convenience (please bring your own ice). For safety, we kindly ask that no glass of any kind is brought on board.
Yes, as stated in the previous FAQ, you are legally allowed to bring alcohol on the boat. We ask that no glass be brought on board and that you exercise moderation and good judgment, keeping in mind that there should be a designated driver of the boat who will abstain from drinking.
Yes, our boat is equipped with a large cooler on board and a small cooler in the hot tub. You will need to supply your own ice.
Yes, our boat is equipped with a state-of-the-art stereo that features Bluetooth for wireless interface with your iPhone or Android devices. Our Hot Tub Cruisin staff will assist you in getting your devices connected for your entertainment.
We recommend bringing along essentials for any boat trip: towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, water, snacks, and other beverages. Your comfort is our priority!
The temperature is tailored to your preference! On cooler days or for morning/evening cruises, the water can be set at a maximum of 106 degrees Fahrenheit. On warm San Diego days, we can turn off the heating element to allow the water to be a refreshing “pool-like” temperature. This way, you can cool off in the tub instead of taking a dip in the bay waters.

Absolutely! Our boat is equipped with all required safety gear, including 12 US Coast Guard approved life jackets, fire extinguishers, and a safety sheet that includes the Hot Tub Cruisin staff contact information. Rest assured, our boat has been inspected and approved by the USCG for your peace of mind.
We recommend all guests to use the restroom facilities immediately prior to departure. However, should you need a “pit stop”, the boat can be returned to the dock at any time during your rental. Our Hot Tub Cruisin staff will assist you with a swift loading and unloading.
In the unlikely event of an emergency or a breakdown, Hot Tub Cruisin operates a power boat for emergency shuttle service. We are available at any time during your rental. Our staff will also cover all emergency scenario procedures during the pre-departure orientation for your safety.

Absolutely! Children are welcome aboard. Please note, children under the age of 13 are required to wear life jackets at all times. The Renter/Driver must be at least 18 years of age.

a. Your safety is our top priority! If we are unable to operate the boat due to weather, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule your cruise.

b. If your rental is cut short, you will only be charged for the time you use the boat and we will work to schedule another cruise.

c. Rentals will only be cancelled due to “dangerous” weather conditions.

  •  Please note, a deposit is required for all reservations and this will not be refunded if you cancel your reservation due to “non-dangerous” weather.
As part of the HTC pre-cruise orientation and post-cruise check-out, you will do a “walk around” of the boat to identify any pre-existing damages. A credit card is held on file as a deposit for any damages incurred during your rental. The rental agreement identifies those damages for which the renter is liable and the associated costs.
Indeed, you can! Our Hot Tub Cruisin boats are equipped with a ladder for your convenience. Don’t forget to bring your plush towels for a luxurious experience!
Hot Tub Cruisin sails rain or shine! If rain is in the forecast, we recommend bringing stylish rain jackets and/or ponchos. It’s still a thrilling adventure – think of it as dancing in the rain. Cruises are only canceled if conditions are deemed unsafe due to a Severe Weather Warning from the National Weather Service.

a. Hot Tub Cruisin now offers trip insurance, providing you with flexibility should your plans change, or if the tour needs to be canceled due to inclement weather.

b. Trip insurance will allow you to cancel your upcoming cruise for any reason up to 48 hours before your scheduled departure time for a full refund. Trip insurance will also allow you to receive a full refund in the event of a cancellation by Hot Tub Cruisin due to a Severe Weather Warning issued by the National Weather Service during the time of your scheduled tour.

c. To purchase trip insurance, simply select the add-on “Trip Insurance” during checkout.

d. Without trip insurance, there are no refunds given for any reason. However, you may receive a credit to reschedule your cruise for a future date (for up to three months from the date of your cancelled cruise), in the event of a cancellation by Hot Tub Cruisin due to a Severe Weather Warning issued by the National Weather Service. Hot Tub Cruisin operates rain or shine otherwise! It is still a lot of fun, think of it as an adventure. We only cancel cruises if there are unsafe weather conditions (defined as a Severe Weather Warning issued by the National Weather Service).
